Last semester for some reason or another, I had trouble sleeping at night. I started listening to Podcasts to help me fall asleep, and I liked them so much I started listening to them walking to class. I wanted to pass on what programs have caught my interest.

This American Life

picture-18.png This is a journalistic program capturing amazing stories that wouldn’t necessarily make the news. In my mind, the stories capture a lot of truth in our lives and the stories are normally insightful and poker tour giocogiochi online poker gratis7 card stud inlineaaces texas holdem multiplayerholdem poker online, poker texas holdem online, poker texas holdem on linesexy poker gratispoker tournament 2007scommesse internetnoble pokerpoker online italiapoker milanovideo poker gratispoker italiadownload video poker gratispoker pctexas holdem poker onlinetornei poker gratistornei texas holdembonus senza deposito pokerplay omaha poker freeregole omaharegole poker omahapoker holdem gratissuper pokeristruzioni gioco pokerplay 7 card stud onlinestrip poker gamescaricare gratis pokerhollywood pokerholdem poker, poker holdem gratis, holdem poker italiastreap poker on lineonline poker tournamentscarica gioco pokeronline poker roomtrucchi casino onlinecasino games proslots machines gratisgiochi casino onlineroulette russafree kenovideo poker online gratisbonus dei casinocasino italia bonusbetandwin casinoprobabilità roulettegiochi casino online gratiscasino sanremo onlinegioco baccarat in lineavirtual casinoamerican roulette very funny. Each week there’s an hour long program with about three stories centered around a theme.
My favorite episode so far is “Act 5” about inmates in a high security prison putting on Hamlet.

“Shakespeare may seem like an odd match for a group of hardened criminals, but Jack found that they understand the Bard on a level that most of us might not. It’s a play about murder and its consequences, performed by murderers, living out the consequences.”

Gilles Peterson Worldwide

This is a BBC program focusing on world music.
My favorite one is a 6 part piece called “Gilles in Brazil” were they trace the history of Brazilian music. This music blows me away and I want to travel there largely due to these Podcasts. If you like the movie City of God these might interest you.

Fabric

picture-17.pngThis is a biweekly hour long Podcast were famous DJs primarily from the UK play the formative tracks that have changed their lives. Its great because there’s always a large time span and variety that goes into these Podcasts and you can learn a lot about music, old and new.
